We have an incredible opportunity to join The Walt Disney company as our Talent Acquisition Director for Europe, The Middle East and Africa.

About the Role & Team

  • You will lead the EMEA Talent Acquisition team, covering professional, executive and early careers recruitment as well as Contingent Workforce.
  • Reporting to the VP HR EMEA, the Director of Talent Acquisition will drive and deliver the EMEA TA strategy and to offer a full end to end Talent Acquisition solution to support the current and future hiring needs for the EMEA business
  • This role will partner closely with HR teams and leaders across the region to collaborate and support the delivery of their talent requirements.
  • This role will also work closely with the International TA Director to help represent Talent Acquisition in EMEA and in partnership identify and execute on opportunities to leverage global Talent Acquisition initiatives.
  • The TA Director will role model inspiring leadership and be an expert in developing and coaching best in class TA functions; the role requires a solid understanding of recruitment operations, processes, business dynamics and goals.
  • The role requires the ability to develop and link recruitment metrics to the strategy, plans and drive performance.
  • You will guide the recruitment team supporting EMEA to success through effective planning, process improvement, delivery of quality hires against business requirements, and ongoing excellent client and guest communication and satisfaction. 
  • This candidate will be knowledgeable/ become knowledgeable on business objectives and line of business criteria across the entire EMEA Region for The Walt Disney Company.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver the EMEA TA strategy and develop talent acquisition priorities and objectives as a strategic partner to leaders, HR colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Play a key role in the EMEA HR Leadership team as the expert and partner on TA, to provide insight and solutions to the business in relation to their current (and future) hiring needs.
  • Execution of full life cycle recruitment plans for Perm/FTC/Interns; and through your teams, ensure the candidate, client, team, and recruiter experiences are met with exceptional service delivery
  • Identify skill and succession gaps in the organization and work with partners to create internal and external pipelines
  • Manage Recruitment Budget / Spending and overall fiscal responsibility for the EMEA TA function.
  • Collaborate with peers in EMEA and Globally on multiple workflows and projects tied to strategic priorities that are critical to our success, such as: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Events, Talent Acquisition Marketing & Candidate Experience, Data Integrity & Storytelling, and Selection & Assessment
  • Train, develop and grow a highly functioning recruitment team that will continue to drive innovation and growth across the company
  • Play an active role in contributing to the Global Enterprise Talent Acquisition community

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous Talent Acquisition senior leadership experience, ideally gained in a multinational matrixed environment
  • Knowledge of total talent acquisition (Professional, Early Careers, Executive Search, Contingent)
  • Experience recruiting and supporting European markets and although not essential, a second European language would be a bonus.
  • Exceptional motivator, demonstrating strong team management and coaching skills
  • Proven leadership track record managing senior executive relationships; ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across functional and organisational lines while navigating matrixed organisational structures
  • Ability to develop and implement successful recruitment, sourcing and selection and assessment strategies
  • Superior organisational and process management skills as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple detailed projects and drive to deadlines
  • Strong Guest service skills and the proven ability to respond proactively to client needs and build relationships
  • Experience working with US stakeholders is advantageous as is the flexibility to accommodate international time-zones
