Senior Operations Program Analyst - Disney Cruise Line (fixed-term until Dec 2025))

About the Role & Team
The Senior Operations Program Analyst role supports Disney Cruise Line (DCL) project management team with operational data analysis and data management, detailed project planning, and information communication. You will be the operational backbone of the team.
The role is responsible for gathering, reviewing and analysing project data and for ship newbuild projects throughout the project life cycle; from initial program development through design development, into construction and implementation, overall operational readiness and ship delivery.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Newbuild Project Integration and works in close collaboration with DCL Operations and Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) shipbuilding project teams to facilitate successful project delivery.
You will be detail orientated with a combination of technical and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to objectively analyse information and present recommendations to various internal teams.
This position will be based in the Disney Cruise Line offices in London, with 4 days per week onsite required.
What You Will Do
Research, gather, analyse and organise detailed operational data and functional requirements for all projects (data e.g. relating to construction, functionalities, ship capacity and visual arrangements onboard)
Present and update project documentation, tailored appropriately for stakeholders and executives (such as WDI, finance, marketing, construction or design teams)
Responsible for creating detailed operational readiness schedules in MS Project and maintaining accuracy of project status including risk analysis, throughout the project lifecycle.
Creation and maintenance of project documentation and provide regular progress updates. Prepare presentations and participate in reporting weekly project updates to DCL leadership and operational teams.
Communicate clear and concise data findings, facilitate project meetings to ensure all stakeholders can provide input.
Prepare project communications ensuring alignment between the DCL and WDI project teams to mitigate communication gaps.
Responsible for the production, collation and upkeep of the ship program book for WDI & DCL Operations, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Travel Services, HR, and Digital and Technology teams’ reference. The program book includes functional and creative design and operational details of all public, crew and stateroom spaces as well as typical ‘day in the life onboard’ scenarios.
Collaborate with WDI project management team to record, measure and evaluate project status and participate in after action reviews.
Lead project development workshops and information sharing sessions. Continuously manage project documentation, record meeting minutes and decision logs, facilitating action resolution and decision making.
Assist as required on a range of ship operational readiness workstreams including site office set up, crew onboarding, signage program, owners supply procurement status updates, logistics arrangements for PR and inaugural events, loading of owner supply, ship repositioning itinerary coordination and tracking handover of spaces to shipboard operations.
Identify inefficiencies in project processes and develop strategies to improve them. Analyse project workflows and identify areas to streamline or automate processes, understanding root cause analysis to aid continuous improvement.
Support the Dry Dock team with operational data analysis, detailed project planning, and information communication if needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Degree in project management, business administration, industrial engineering or comparable experience.
Good solid understanding and experience implementing project management principles, methods and best practices within a design and build environment.
First experience in an analytical role, preferably within the hospitality, cruise or construction industry.
Skilled at analysing data, finding patterns, solving difficulty problems, thinking critically and creatively
Ability to organize large amounts of disparate data and information into high quality, straightforward, comprehensive documents for stakeholder consumption.
Excellent reporting skills preparing and presenting information and progress using a variety of software
Confident using data analytics tools (such as Excel, Smartsheets, PowerBI, Tableau or comparable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work self-sufficiently to deliver multiple project timelines simultaneously.
Strong stakeholder management skills to drive engagement and alignment, resolving conflicts and ensuring teams work effectively together.
Ability to work with and protect highly confidential information
Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays and to travel abroad for site meetings, including occasional extended periods.
Ability to support operational readiness work on site at shipyards, or vendor production facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Initial experience within project management and data analysis experience, preferably within the hospitality sector
Project Management qualification
Knowledge of project management software, such as MS Project
