Job Summary:
Join us at Disney Experiences where we bring magic to life every day. At the heart of our mission is the drive to inspire wonder and create unforgettable experiences. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of entertainment and bringing never-before-seen innovations to life!
Disney Experiences (DX) Technology & Digital is the dynamic force behind the technical solutions that power the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. We're currently seeking a passionate Technical Product Manager to lead in our Digital Lodging product team. In this role, you'll oversee the complete development of company-owned technology-based product initiatives, from inception to launch, supporting products that enable customer gatherings and travel agent sales for worldwide bookings at our parks, resorts, and more.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a talent for developing and implementing product strategies, roadmaps, requirements, solution design, and technical delivery plans from ideation to launch and beyond. You should have a passion for learning and a keen interest in the technical aspects of products with a consistent focus on solving customer needs. If you excel at taking ownership, driving action, and contributing to the growth of product organizations, we want to hear from you!
This is a project hire position through the end of 2026 with no guarantee of permanent placement.
What You'll Do:
Shape the strategy: Architect the Disney-owned product vision, strategy, and roadmap throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.
Execute with clarity: Lead technical requirements analysis, design, solutions, prioritization, execution, testing, and production support with cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent communication with peers and leadership.
Define success: Define customer needs through user-centric design techniques and monitor key performance metrics to track product performance while identifying areas for optimization that enable continuous improvements through delivery.
Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional collaborators, including product, engineering, data, design, commercial, and customer support.
Set the priority: Prioritize with our business, product, and engineering partners, managing technical discussions to drive alignment.
Deliver excellence: Coordinate and communicate consistent delivery of product releases and updates, ensuring timely delivery and continuous deployment.
Think proactively: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to project timelines or deliverables.
Lead communication: Passionately advocate for your product(s) both internally and externally while educating stakeholders and customers about product features, benefits, and value propositions.
Look beyond: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
A minimum of 3+ years of product management experience, with a technical focus.
Demonstrated success launching and scaling products through recognizing customer needs, creating a vision, building roadmaps, identifying success measurements, and executing excellence with peers.
Strong technical knowledge with experience leading initiatives that span several teams and functional areas.
Proven ability to translate customer and business needs through requirements, design mockups, and technical solution documentation.
Proven experience operating within an agile collaborative environment.
Strong communicator with proven ability to bring clarity and direction through written and verbal communication skills.
Data and hypothesis-driven aptitude, with the ability to flex both business and technical thinking.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with consumer-facing products and services (i.e. websites, mobile applications, etc.)
Experience with microservices and API-oriented products.
Experience within hospitality and/or technology industries.
Experienced in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and Confluence.
