About the Role & Team

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company (TWDC)’s Direct-to-Consumer (DtC) video entertainment service targeted to all audiences. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star), with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms including TVs, mobile devices, and gaming consoles.

The Direct-to-Consumer (DtC) UKI/EMEA team is responsible for the overall commercial performance and the day-to-day operations of Disney+. This includes marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, customer engagement, implementation/localisation of the global content strategy, analytics and research.

Within this team, you’ll will be responsible for the ongoing commercial performance of TWDC’s DtC partner business, in UK&I and EMEA. In addition to this, you’ll be directly responsible for quarterly and weekly subscriber acquisition and revenue targets, as well as ongoing partner subscriber activation, engagement and retention - working closely with the local and regional DtC teams, as well as the affiliate and brand partnerships teams.

The role will also partner closely with the UK&I Director, Finance, Legal, and Trading leads to align strategies, ensure seamless collaboration and deliver impactful business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Working with the Director and our partner to set quarterly and weekly subscriber sales targets with partners.

  • Working with the Director and our partner to set quarterly and weekly activation, engagement and retention targets with partners.

  • Building a cohesive week by week trading plan and joint business plan targeting incremental growth.

  • Operationalising the joint business plan with our partner and tracking performance against target.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for deal expansion (packaging, promotions), driving incremental subs/revenue opportunities to grow beyond agreed deal terms, and working with affiliates team to contract and execute them effectively.

  • Communicate upcoming TWDC streaming priorities and ensure alignment between commercial and marketing actions.

  • Working closely with our partner to drive maximum ‘sell-through’ of Disney+, utilising all levers available including optimising customer journeys flows, effective execution of promotional (redemption-based) campaigns, and maximising our presence in all partner channels and packages.

  • Day to day lead with our partner – leading key meetings (QBR) and weekly catch ups internally and externally.

  • Cultivate a deeply collaborative relationship with the partner marketing team, ensuring a shared focus on creating impactful campaigns that deliver genuine value to partners and enhance their success.

  • Collaborate closely with partner and DtC product teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance activation, improve customer engagement, and drive sustainable growth

  • Source and deliver new opportunities utilising innovative business models (e.g. PRA, Fixed fee, Fixed CPS

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience in achieving commercial success by delivering and managing third-party partnerships

  • Build deep collaborative relationships with external partners

  • Ability to craft clear strategies, promote best practices, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders

  • Experience in delivering sales targets and material growth

  • The right collaborative, influencing and relationship building skills to be effective in a large global matrix organisation 

  • Commercial mindset and data-driven approach to delivering results 

  • Proven ability to negotiate terms with client

  • DtC and/or FMCG industry background would be preferable
