Job Summary:

Position supports and is the primary sales driver for the production of home mortgage originations generated through our various online and phone platforms.  In a non-branch environment, the Mortgage Adviosr works closely with all Mortgage Loan Officers to help facilitate new mortgage originations, including phone interviews with new members, taking mortgage applications, and facilitating a handoff to the appropriate Mortgage Loan Officer.   As an internal sales role, the Mortgage Advisor is responsible for coordinating and assisting Mortgage Loan Officers to achieve departmental sales and production goals—activities would include member interaction and follow up, initiating and completing applications, pipeline management and coordination of file management, and provides follow up on files for members in process.  Mortgage Advisor may also assist Internal MLO  in disseminating leads, follow up and appointments for the Mortgage Loan Officers.  The Mortgage Advisor will also be responsible for directly managing our existing technology platforms via texting, phone and mortgage trigger follow up with an emphasis on Sales and growth of the business.  On a short term basis, the MA may also backfill FL Mortgage Loan Officer positions interim basis during vacation, extended leaves, or business development events as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

     Assists members and mortgage Loan officers with home mortgage originations via follow up on our various online platform and lead generation services including phone interviews, Texting,  applications, retrieving/uploading loan documentation.   Primarily responsible for managing our Genesys phone platform answering members inquiries and driving sales and mortgage originations to the CU.  Coordinates member appointments with an emphasis on driving loan originations through a customized review and sales approach to capture applications in the moment.  Provides overflow follow up on front end application onboarding activities reviewing applications in POS and the lead inbox to identify, cold call, and disseminate leads to the IMLO.  Assists management where necessary in reporting, analytics, and data gathering. Serves as the primary driver for loan business generated through marketing efforts by our BD team and coordinates with IMLO to deliver exceptional service to our members with a warm transfer of loan opportunities. Mortgage advisor will work directly with our Trigger lead program to develop business and grow our portfolio Primarily responsible for managing our member communication platform through texting and automations  Responsbile for maintaining a high standard with our members and providing well documented loan applications that meet our QA and UW standards. Responsbile for being the liaison to our front line sales teams within our branches and advocate for home mortgage opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining line of sight on the working pipeline for each IMLO and helping to disseminate leads

2. As needed may be requested to attend in-person events.  Seminars, BD events, off-site business opportunies.

3. As needed, may be requested to take in-person member appointments to help facilitate mortgage transactions.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Education Required to Perform Job:  High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience Required to Perform Job Upon Hire: 2 to 5 years

Specific Experience Required:

  • Experience in residential lending practices is preferred
  • Three years’ experience in credit review and consulting, including credit bureaus, is required.
  • Experience in Credit Union loan services, policies, and procedure is preferred.

Other Training, Technical Skills, or Knowledge Required:

  • Three years sales experience is required
  • Experience in residential lending practices is preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $68,640 to $70,680 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
