As a Senior Product Manager II, within the Ad Platform technology team at Disney, you will be a part of the team redefining digital advertising. You will support the Core data products of the Disney Advertising platform, bringing together ad event data with metadata from various areas of the streaming organization to enable unified reporting and billing capabilities for the Enterprise. You will be responsible for driving execution to power the realization of all The Walt Disney Company’s core data and reporting needs. The right person for this role can identify business value, solve complex problems, concisely articulate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ultimately drive results. Responsibilities And Duties Of The Role

  • Drive product strategy and plan for the digital advertising platform operational data store including core data, metrics APIs, and inbound and outbound data feeds.

  • Partner with Business Intelligence & Analytics Product Managers to ensure front-end reporting requirements are satisfied with the appropriate platform event and metadata schemas

  • Collaborate with Research & Data Science teams to guarantee that accurate and relevant data is available to all teams through advanced and modernized data platforms.

  • Partner with Ad Experiences Product Managers to ensure innovative data products are supported by back-end data capture to measure product performance.

  • Work with upstream Product Managers and Engineers to identify source event data and metadata and negotiate its delivery to the data platform.

  • Work with Privacy and Data governance to ensure that sensitive data is managed according to policy and all datasets are cataloged and Data quality rules defined.

  • Own the domain model for Events and Metadata and evolve the quality of documentation and interfaces for consumers of operational data.

  • Own product backlog and delivery execution of advertising data initiatives, aligning stakeholders and driving results

  • Responsible for product prioritization, including value identification, cost savings and progress against the broader business strategy

  • Maintain expected standards across the team for product specifications, backlog health, and consumable user stories for engineering partners

  • Product owner for a Scrum team by participating agile ceremonies, responsible for prioritization, backlog refinement, and feature definition

  • Hold a deep compassion for our users.

  • Drive innovation in platform services such as targeting, measurement, BI & Analytics, and Research in collaboration with other product managers & engineering teams.

  • Enumerate and identify clear business critical metrics for setting annualized objectives and partnering with GTM and financial planning to meet them

  • Partner with the Platform Operations team to optimize the ongoing health and financial viability of our product line

  • Partner with Engineering organization to execute against the product roadmap, delivering on the needs of the business
     

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent Product Management experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of product management experience, highly preferred from established technology or digital media company

  • Deep understanding of data infrastructure, including storage models, data lakes, warehousing, analytics, data movement, and ELT/ETL technologies and practices.

  • Strong SQL skills and extensive knowledge of relational databases

  • Strong technical diagramming and documentation skills.

  • Proven experience and success in a product role with the ability to demonstrate a record of success Experience in advertising or media business

  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of tech and non-tech partners

  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a sophisticated, always-changing environment

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills


The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA, Washington D.C., and Chicago, IL is $152,200 to $204,100 per year, in Seattle, WA is $159,500 to $213,900 per year and in San Francisco, CA is $166,800 to $223,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
