Job Summary:

The Direct to Consumer (DTC) Marketing Department needs a resource capable to support the Senior Marketing Manager on all media activities related to the launch of our General Entertainment content and the overall growth of Disney+. The role will coordinate and ensure the correct workflows and executions between TWDCI and our Media agency, other DTCI departments (PR, Performance, Sales & Partnership, Research, Creative) and other TWDCI LoBs, especially with the Theatrical & Integrated Marketing Business Unit, and/or external organisations/third parties/stakeholders. 

The role is intensively collaborative in nature - working with several Disney+ stakeholders, wider TWDC business units as well as multiple external partners and agencies. 

 

The role will directly manage and execute the plans for a multi-million dollars marketing budget related to the launch of our GE content as well as all our Brand initiatives to sustain the growth of Disney+ as a key streaming player in Italy.  

The Media Manager will also oversee and monitor local marketing spend and budget for Disney+ Italy, work with the Media agency to optimise marketing spend across all channels, report, and communicate on brand performance and campaign management to the Senior Marketing Manager Italy and Regional EMEA team. 

 

What will you do 

  • Defining Disney+ Media Strategy with a focus on Brand Campaigns & General Entertainment Series 

  • Media planning and execution of campaign across offline channels such as TV, OOH, Radio, Print as well as overall offline and online campaign mix strategy 

  • Buy in of local media through media agency and monitoring the marketing budget on a monthly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely 

  • Provide strategic local directions and briefs to the media agency and media owners, being a reference point from planning to delivery in accordance with the regional marketing strategy 

  • Organise regular weekly meeting and update all shared media tools with the media agency 

  • Support earned media activities at a local level ensuring flawless execution and optimal impact 

  • Supervise and deliver AV and static creatives 

  • Partner with local Performance Marketing, social media and Customer Retention teams to build one cohesive ‘go-to-market’ plan, working towards one joint acquisition target 

  • Identify Key insights for media strategic development and campaigns tracking 

  • Understand local business challenges and opportunities to build an optimised media plan 

  • Collaborate and manage opportunities with XLOB internal teams and external media partners, in particular with creative team to ensure ad materials align with campaign goals 

  • Market analysis for competitor activity review to inform of local trends, new e-media behaviour, products, and new technology with stakeholders 

 

What we expect of you :

  • 5+ years of professional experience leading marketing campaigns across various platforms & channel 

  • Fluent in English, Italian 

  • Strong network and relationships with Italian media vendors and agencies 

  • A deep knowledge of the Italian Media and OTT streaming landscape and operations 

  • An in-depth knowledge of the Disney brand and the breadth of content that the brand covers 

  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing business demands at short notice and in an international environment 

  • An appreciation and understanding on how data and analytics can be used for decision making 

  • Experience working with creative concepts, events, and various channel partners to drive awareness and distribution metrics 

  • The candidate must have proven experience in working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders 

  • Experience in working with media agency and relationship management 

  • Passion for the film, television, and entertainment industry 

  • Proven experience as Media Executive, Promotional Manager, or similar role 

  • Creative flair and knowledge of Disney brands and IP 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Broadcasting, Communications, or other related field or equivalent work experience 

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree ideal 

Additional Information:  

  • This position reports directly to the Senior Marketing Manager D+ Italy.

  • We are a smart working company; you will be required to work in our Milan office 4 days per week with one day working from remotely.
