What You Will Do

In this role, you will collaborate with the Manager of the Disney Experiences Strategic Sourcing Marketing and Graphic Communications team, reporting to the Category Manager supporting Marketing Services. You will play a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies, including RFPs to drive cost savings, enhancing supplier relationships, and implementing best practices in supply chain management. You will be responsible for capturing and reporting out on key metrics, including required compliance with Company policy. This role will focus on strategically sourcing within the Creative, Production, Post Production, Talent Services, Promotional Product and Graphic Communication categories. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities an understanding of the market dynamics within the Marketing and Graphic Communications spaces and a passion for finding the best solution available.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing RFPs: Create, manage, and execute Requests for Proposals consistent with a comprehensive sourcing strategy for marketing and creative services to meet business objectives
  • Supplier Vetting & Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet performance standards and comply with company policies and requirements.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions. Work with Legal partners to ensure contracts are aligned with the organization's policies and requirements while achieving necessary goals and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, including scope, requirements, selection criteria and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies and Company policy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, cost savings, and other relevant metrics.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the supplier base and categories, including evolving standards and needs, quality issues and compliance concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and overall value.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, preferably with experience supporting Marketing or Creative Services OR direct Advertising/Marketing Agency experience as a Project Manager, Acocunt Manager or related fields.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the marketing and creative services industry, including trends and best practices that may impact buying decisions.
  • Attributes: Comfortable working in self-directed and ambiguous environments. Strategic thinker, results oriented and collaborative.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, CSSBB).
  • Skills: Designing and implementing new processes, leading training and supporting Sourcing and stakeholder education and development.
  • Knowledge: Marketing and Creative Services supplier base and supply chain, applicable best practices, Contract Lifecycle Management, Global Sourcing Compliance, Supply Chain Code of Conduct, Supplier Vetting, Onboarding and Management.
