We are looking for a Senior Product Development Manager to join our team to oversee multiple exciting new projects and ongoing Live Service Mobile titles with the most talented game companies in the world.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Executive Producer, Product Development through the concept, development, go-to-market and live services execution for multiple games.
  • Oversee all facets of key external partners’ game development, marketing, and promotional efforts, and be able to identify and solve day to day product, creative, and development challenges.
  • Lead direct-reports as required, mentor junior members, and share the knowledge of your specific expertise with the wider team.
  • Maintain licensee relationships by championing clear and effective communication, delivering consistent and actionable feedback, and being a trusted and reliable brand liaison.
  • Proactively identify and assess product risks and mitigate solutions that ensure game projects meet or exceed all product, strategic, and financial goals.
  • Facilitate internal and external cross-functional team collaboration to ensure brand authenticity and quality, and optimally guide projects from development to launch and through live operations.
  • Play, dissect, and analyze games throughout development to certify their gaming appeal and market readiness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A Subject-Matter Expert – You have ample knowledge in the F2P (Free to play), Mobile, and Live Service business models in gaming, ideally also working insight on emerging trends such as subscription and UGC (User Generated Content) development.
  • Multi-Disciplined – You are versatile and familiar with numerous aspects of game making and publishing: production, design, tech, sales, marketing, PR, social media, analytics, monetization, and live services.
  • Thoughtful – You take ownership over your game projects and are always figuring out newer and better ways to do your job smarter, faster, and more effectively.
  • You have a willingness to learn and embrace new insights that optimize and potentially diversify the way we operate.
  • A People Person – You always seek to develop deep and productive relationships with the people around you and treat them the way you wish to be treated - within the team, within the company, and with all our external partners. You understand that these relationships are built through effective, frequent, and timely communication. You strive to lead by example.

  • A Game Connoisseur – You are well versed and passionate about current trends in gaming, including mobile, console, PC, VR, and competitive gaming.
  • Passionate about Marvel – We are obsessed with our Super Heroes across all mediums: Games, comics, toys, film, TV, and many others. You are too.
  • At least 10 years of experience in development, publishing, or partnership management positions at industry-leading game companies.
  • 2-3 Years of people management experience demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
  • Shipped at least one AAA mobile or console title and experienced in working on post-launch Live Service operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in traditional AAA PC/console

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
