Manufacturing Services Manager
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Services Manager will to ensure the reliability and availability of all theme park assets during Park operating hours. You will oversee assigned aspects of team development and performance while directly leading union craft members. You will assist in managing budget/cost control, developing and implementing maintenance strategies ensuring reliability, Show quality, safety, and the training and development of Cast Members. You may provide general support or be assigned specific areas of responsibility.
You will report to Senior Manager-Manufacturing.
Responsibilities/You Will:
Provide superior maintenance services for assigned assets of The Disneyland Resort. Achieve operational and readiness goals. Develop repair and maintenance plans that are driven by maximizing life cycle value and customer service. Provide maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure operational readiness and Guest service is optimized.
Optimize the work order/work planning process; ensure work orders are appropriately opened, assessed, prioritized, scheduled, and tracked. Provide and frame recommendations for system/process improvements. Develop and conduct trend analysis, work history analysis, and performance measurement metrics.
Ensure all work is performed as planned and scheduled with appropriate resources. Generate and evaluate work performance reports, making recommendations for improvements as appropriate. Coordinate work activities with other teams, Shops, Overhaul Programs, and Project Management. Request support as needed from other teams.
Call in, issue work to contractors/vendors as appropriate, and supervise. Monitor contractor/vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement. Evaluate and approve requests for labor support to other teams. Authorize variances to work scopes or schedules involving other teams, to include Shops, Overhaul, and Project Management.
Provide input into and implement equipment hierarchies and strategies, assist in improving and implementing the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance plans for specified systems and equipment. Maintain, track, and secure as appropriate assigned team equipment, tools, systems, and other assets, to include condition assessments, reporting, and preventive maintenance plans.
Direct craft work efforts. Approve shift changes, time off and benefit requests, and monitor accuracy of pay rates and timekeeping. Monitor compliance with work accommodations and restrictions. Ensure compliance with procedures for injury and illness treatment and reporting. Interview candidates for craft positions and provide feedback to Casting and management. Assess craft skill levels, complete performance appraisals, and determine training needs for assigned crafts.
Develop and monitor technical expertise and work performance of crafts. Provide coaching and /or training as needed. Administer disciplinary counseling and measures as appropriate. Ensure reward and recognition programs are fully and fairly used. Plan and define clear and measurable performance expectations and goals with direct reports. Monitor and communicate career development and training plans.
Provide input into developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Five-Year Plan (FYP), capital planning, financial course corrections, and plans for achieving cost reductions, cost avoidance, and value generation. Meet or exceed budgetary and financial targets. Provide input into long-range team planning efforts, workforce and skill mix planning. Employ cost/benefit analysis, suggest best value sourcing strategies, and ensure responsible materials management practices.
Conduct orientations, safety training, and skills training in support of team training objectives. Execute team safety programs. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Conduct Accident Investigations. Ensure assigned Cast follow safety training and certification requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory standards and policies, to include those of Corporate, State, Federal, and Environmental Agencies.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:
5+ years of experience in a Maintenance/Facilities Management position that has included a degree of budgetary responsibility.
Project Maintenance Management skills, preventative maintenance knowledge, and manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with limited resources in a fast-paced, high visibility environment. Ability to make rapid and appropriate decisions and drive short-term results.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); Maximo Preferred.
Proficiency within the Windows, SAP, Maximo, and My Time or similar programs.
Ability to read and understand engineering and assembly prints/drawings, knowledge of Atlas.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, high visibility environment.
Experience developing strong partnerships with customers, other lines of business and management team.
Proven experience in increasing productivity and efficiency.
Ability to work various shifts and times to complete work.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant technical experience.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $107,500 to -$126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
