We are seeking our next Program Director, Enterprise Programs who will play a key part in how we operate. By leading several highly skilled and passionate teams who are responsible for selling and delivering our products, the role sits at the intersection of commercial and operational responsibilities. This senior level position is based in Celebration, Florida, and reports to the Director, Disney Institute.
As Program Director, Enterprise Programs you will oversee the acquisition of our business-to-business clients who come to Disney Institute for our enterprise solutions: private learning events and advisory services. In addition to leading the enterprise sales team, you will oversee the delivery of these products which includes building custom solutions, facilitation, and operations support for engagements ranging from small to large-scale.
Ultimately, the Program Director, Enterprise Programs is responsible for achieving budget targets as well as the successful delivery of client solutions. In that sense, it’s an end-to-end responsibility from acquisition to final completion. The role will develop and manage key client relationships, explore new commercial opportunities, and play a critical part in building a mid and long-term growth strategy for Disney Institute.
The Program Director, Enterprise Programs is a senior leader of leaders who exhibits a business owner mindset and shows up with the high degree of drive, strategic planning, and tactical execution skills that this position warrants. The Program Director models the behaviors that support and enable our desired culture of an inclusive and collaborative work environment where individual talent can thrive and where innovation and calculated risk taking are encouraged.
You Will/Responsibilities:
Build and execute on a commercial strategy for enterprise products based on the overall direction, strategic priorities, and budget goals for the business
Optimize the sales acquisition model and processes, including lead generation, to drive conversion and unlock new revenue opportunities
Ensure effective and efficient scoping, contracting, and creation of client solutions by partnering with the Disney Institute business affairs and content teams
Ensure optimal and streamlined processes and workflows to provide a seamless end-to-end client experience from acquisition to final completion of an engagement
Ensure operational readiness as we significantly grow private learning events as a key driver of the business. This includes effective integration with our operational partners at Walt Disney World and Disneyland while we scale these offerings
Optimize the allocation of resources across the operations support and delivery functions to ensure the organization is able to reliably serve current and future client engagements
Partner with the Disney Institute content team to ensure we cater to market demand in the way we design our offerings and custom solutions
Identify overall business success metrics and KPIs – both commercial and operational – for the Disney Institute enterprise business, monitor those to drive accountability, and use insights for continuous improvement
Lead and model a data-informed approach to identifying opportunities for growth, optimizing the business model, and driving efficiencies
Lead a team of functional experts who oversee the enterprise sales, operations support, and delivery teams. Provide all the ‘home room’ support and coaching needed for employees to be successful, as well as creating development and personal growth opportunities
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholder across The Walt Disney Company as well as with existing and new clients
You Will Have/Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience across areas such as sales, business development, or business operations. Ideally, a combination of commercial and operational experience
5+ years of experience leading individuals and teams (including leaders of leaders)
Proven track record of successfully navigating the interdependencies between commercial and operational priorities
Prior experience with facilitation and delivery to understand the requirements and complexities of successful group experiences (preferred in the adult learning space)
Ability to think strategically and synthesize large amounts of data, and to translate findings into actionable recommendations and plans
Experience with successfully navigating a highly matrixed organization that requires the ability to quickly identify the right stakeholders and to develop effective relationships
Ability to articulate a succinct and compelling view that is tailored to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Proven experience remaining calm under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities, and shifting requirements
Cultural agility and sensibility required to successfully operate in a global business landscape
Available for business travel as needed. Possess a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior leadership experience within Disney Experiences (DX) or within the greater Walt Disney Company.
Experience managing a sales organization and generating new revenue opportunities or larger product strategy
Exposure to working globally and with both domestic and international external clients; working directly with CEOs and C-Suite. Ability to represent the Disney brand credibly to external business clients at all levels.
Experience using a both PC and Mac including Keynote, Adobe Suite, InDesign, Workfront, and Apple products.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in Content/Instructional Design, Organizational Design, Education, Learning and Development, Business Administration, Multimedia Design or Video Production.
