Job Summary:

As a Manager with the DCP Global Marketing Strategy Team, you will help deliver best-in-class global marketing and go-to-market strategies and execution for Disney Princess and Frozen to create maximum value for the company. You'll partner with internal Cast Members and external agencies across brand marketing, creative advertising, PR and communications, customer engagement, and franchise/commercial teams. In addition, the Marketing Strategy Manager will work very closely with our licensee partners to support execution of marketing campaigns tied to Disney product launches. You will be responsible for providing strategic input, building, shaping, and implementing integrated communication plans, evaluating creative, and monitoring and analyzing campaign performance as part of a dynamic marketing team.

The Marketing Strategy Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Operations and Campaign Manager.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Work with Mgr., Global Marketing Strategy to develop campaign plans, one pagers and pitch decks

  • Work with Mgr., Global Marketing Strategy to write creative briefs supported by business strategy, objectives and insights.

  • Own campaign schedule: development of work-back timings, tracking actions to ensure campaign milestones and deadlines are met

  • Assist in gaining buy-in to global marketing strategies at all levels, as well as executional commitment from regional partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business

  • Serve as the key communication source on assigned campaigns, regularly broadcasting status, keeping regions and global stakeholders up to date on campaign development real time

  • Facilitate best practice exchange and insights across global markets

  • Partner with brand commercialization leads to ensure seamless communication and holistic approach across different properties

  • Manage campaign budgets ensuring efficient and timely use of marketing funds, maintaining real-time records

  • Ensure all workstreams for campaigns are scheduled and tracking on budget, including: media guidance; PR and communications; cross line of business (XLOB) synergy, social engagement, and corporate social responsibility (CSR)

  • Communicate regularly with licensee partners, making sure needs are met with the intent of building strong business relationships and ensuring high quality programs

Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience, ideally in Marketing Strategy or Brand Management 

  • Manage cross function collaboration and input across global brand commercialization, global category, global communications, and global digital/media to execute campaigns

  • Proficient technical marketing skills to provide strategic input and drive communication planning

  • Experience developing partnerships with internal and external team members in a collaborative and inclusive environment

  • Expertise in project-managing a portfolio of projects, successfully balancing strategies, work flows and budgets. Highly organized, independent and detail oriented with strong follow up skills

  • Experience interpreting data and making recommendations based on research and consumer insights

  • Experience in social media marketing, digital advertising, experiential and content-based marketing

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and polished presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Proficiency in Keynote

  • An optimistic professional, with a bias for action, who leads by example. Creative and curious mindset to challenge status quo and find new ways to drive the brand forward

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in Marketing Strategy, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Advertising Agency or Brand Marketing

  • Experience with building national level campaigns

  • Knowledge of product development and new product launches

  • Experience in marketing to targeted consumer audiences, specifically kids, young families and young adults

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA)

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $112,100.00 to $150,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
