Job Summary:

We are looking for a digitally savvy, organised, and process-oriented intern based in Singapore who is passionate about delivering outcomes. The Intern will be an integral part of the Disney+ APAC Program Management Office team, aimed at providing best-in-class program management services to help the APAC Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team meet one of the company’s top strategic objectives; to deliver sustained DTC subscriber and revenue growth.

Primary responsibilities will be to support the delivery of key strategic initiatives in APAC in partnership with various cross-functional work streams across the APAC region.

Initiatives the intern will help support may include new partnerships, innovative business models and new exciting product features/capabilities. There is also a strong focus on process streamline in order to enable more efficient, and organised ways of working within the direct-to-consumer team.

The role requires a highly motivated, tenacious individual who works comfortably and autonomously in an exciting, fast-paced and highly matrixed environment. You will also need to demonstrate ability to manage priorities well, possessing a strong mix of organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Program/Project Strategic Initiatives

The intern will support a diverse range of strategic, high-impact initiatives across the APAC region when required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Collaboration:
    • Communicate with various APAC Regional and local cross-functional teams on new change initiatives including Product, Partnerships,  Marketing, Growth, Content, Legal, and Operations teams to achieve desired results.
    • Support the APAC PMO in the preparation of presentation materials for program/project cross-functional forums.
    • Ensure Sources of Truth are kept up to date
    • Record minutes of meeting and help follow up on open actions.
    • Set up Program collateral using gSheet, Airtable.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Help to complete and submit weekly Active APAC Programs reports.
  • Change Control: Support in the management of Program scope and change control, escalating issues to the APAC PMO team as necessary.
  • Testing: Perform and/or coordinate in-market Singapore user testing, including troubleshooting and analysis of issues to assist project stakeholders and team members.
  • Problem Solving: Work cross-functionally with Disney+ stakeholders and team members to identify critical business blockers and collaborate with them to solve. Proactively identify risks and issues on projects, helping teams and stakeholders to develop risk management and issue management plans, responsible for the management and reporting of RAID items across multiple work streams.
  • Support access and adoption of tools (e.g., OTT application, Google suite, Slack, Jira, Smartsheet, Airtable) for team members.
  • Show commitment to improving the Program/Project management profession within the company via continuous learning and development, helping to grow the Program Management Community of Practice over time.

Process Improvement Initiatives

The intern will be expected to help with process improvement initiatives in order to enable more efficient, and organised ways of working within the APAC direct-to-consumer division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively participate and support brainstorming sessions, business reviews and post launch reviews
  • Apply strategic thinking, and problem solving ability to overcome any issues/ problems that may arise.
  • Establish and roll out new templates for the Program launches in APAC.
  • Document Program Management processes
  • Contribute to new team member onboarding i.e documentation, process roll out, access to new tools etc.

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
  • Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2025

Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree/diploma in Technology, Strategy, Communication or business-related field.
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Possess a curious, analytical mindset with the strong ability to apply data and insights to drive outcomes
  • Digitally savvy
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrated tenacity.
  • Interest or fan mentality for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel
  • Strong team player; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in cross functional teams
  • Adopts a challenging and questioning approach, proposing information and solutions in creative ways
  • Self-starter that needs minimal supervision in motivating himself/herself, always looking for opportunities to contribute to our campaigns and overall projects
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strategic thinker with good communications skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to leverage on data to develop strategy/decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite applications
  • Knowledge or interest in the OTT, Media and Content landscape i.e SEO, DTC (SVOD/ OTT, IPTV, BVOD, broadcast technologies) is a plus
