Job Summary:
About the Role & Program
The Disney Entertainment Television Casting team helps facilitate the casting and development process for pilot shows and current programming for 20th Television Studios. We create a supportive team environment where each member feels comfortable, and we encourage one another to share our opinions and thoughts. We help find new ways to approach challenging situations as well as problem solving. We encourage growth, collaboration, and thinking outside the box, while having fun! The approximate dates of this internship are August through December 2025. If selected for this internship, you will report directly to the Director of Casting.
What You Will Do
As an intern with the Disney Television Entertainment Casting team, you will assist with the day-to-day responsibilities of the team. You will assist the department in administrative duties, as well as finding up-and-coming talent. You will have the opportunity to learn about studio/network/platform casting for pilot shows and current programming. You will help the team find new and creative ways to work together with an eye toward quality and efficiency.
Your role may include:
Assisting in reviewing the casting materials of current and future projects
Possibly assisting with the casting and/or production of the Disney Television Discovers: Talent Showcase, among other initiatives
Providing support with basic uploading of auditions to Cast It, using Breakdown Services, and internal note taking.
Updating our actor databases, session sheets, and other various internal documents.
Supporting our Assistant with data entry and scheduling
Required Qualifications & Skills
Someone who can maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experience using both Mac and PC operating systems
Experience working in and scheduling with Zoom
A high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A love and respect for Performers and the craft
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Breakdown Express/Eco Cast, Cast It, and IMDBPro
Experience with YouTube, Vimeo, WeTransfer, and other video sharing sites
A strong interest in television, casting, and the entertainment industry
Previous experience in entertainment and casting is a plus
Education
Graduating senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are August 2025 through December 2025
Fully available from Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM/ 11AM-7PM ET for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York, NY area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
