
Production Manager, Disney Card Services

Disney’s Card Services team develops and holistically manages complex, long-term multi-dimensional relationships with company owned and operated retail locations at our domestic properties, select vendors and third-party retailers. Card Services is dedicated to driving incremental value for TWDC and its Partners through development of innovative marketing and payment programs, management of partner and business unit relationships aligned with TWDC’s business and strategic goals.
The Production Manager for printing gift cards has a multifaceted role that includes overseeing the production process from start to finish, ensuring the final product meets quality standards, managing resources, and maintaining efficient workflows.
This role leads and manages all the physical card production for all domestic stored value card products. This includes budgeting, forecasting, logistics and product development. Project manage gift card replenishment, launches and expansions for various internal and external partners. Act as main point of contact (POC) and liaison for internal stakeholders and vendors to address issues and suggest operational improvements, ensuring deliverables are consistently met. Ability to make key decisions quickly and autonomously and to manage aggressive deadlines. Collaborate with Finance, Program Management, Business Development and Marketing on additional opportunities
Responsibilities
- Create production schedules: Develop and manage production timelines for the printing of gift cards, ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with teams: Work closely with design team and print vendors to ensure the necessary materials (e.g., cardstock or other substrates, treatments) are available and production processes are aligned.
- Collaborate daily with the Operations Integration manager to ensure seamless coordination between production processes and operations to help drive efficiency and consistency across parks and resorts.
- Prioritize orders: Prioritize printing jobs based on partner demands, delivery deadlines and order volumes.
- Maintain quality standards: Oversee quality control checks to ensure all gift cards meet specifications including color accuracy, print clarity and security features
- Testing procedures: Conduct testing to ensure that printed gift cards function properly
- Ensure compliance: Ensure that the production process adheres to relevant industry standards, security regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Track production costs: Ensure the production process is cost effective, adhering to budget constraints without compromising quality.
- Negotiate with vendors: Work with vendors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials.
- Document production runs: Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities, issues, materials used and final production files
- Manage third-party vendors: manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about new printing technologies and techniques to help evolve the gift card program by focusing on continuously improving product innovation and quality.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge/experience with card production, print production or production timelines
- 3+ years professional experience
- Experience working with third party vendors
- Knowledge of supply chain and/or sourcing and procurement processes
- Ability to communicate and influence within all areas of the company
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
- Demonstrated strong expertise in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with full lifecycle gift card programs -- inclusive of gift card production or relevant retail products (merchandise credit or other stored value cards)
- Project management experience
- Working knowledge of print production process
