
Sr. Manager – Creative Design, Disney Store, North America
Job Summary:
Be Part of the Story at The Walt Disney Company as the Sr. Manager, Creative Design for Disney Store! This exciting role will be responsible for leading execution of all brand assets across Disney Store digital touchpoints, inclusive of web, mobile app, and other print, and experiential products, for the North America region. They will work in close collaboration with their EMEA Sr. Creative Design Manager peer, ensuring minimum redundancies, holistic global brand execution, imagery standards, and team growth opportunities. They will also manage large-scale, high-profile marketing beats, collaborating with partners across the business. They will be the primary lead for creative inspiration and innovation with our NA design team, ensuring we are delivering best-in-class, on-trend, retail brand creative.
This role reports to the Director, Creative, Shop Disney.
This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:
Lead a team of designers and collaborates with regional Sr. Design Manager peer(s) to produce best-in-class brand creative that brings our global brand creative principles to life
Evolve brand style guidelines across all Disney Store NA touchpoints
Own style direction for Global Marketing campaigns and initiatives
Implement mobile-first design and imagery best practices in digital channels
Drive innovation in our organic and paid campaigns for Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, partnering on building out strategy
Deliver design solutions that highlight features and benefits of our product to create Disney difference within the marketplace
Work closely with Site Merchandisers, Marketing, UX/UI, and CE partners to produce best-in-class digital platforms that connect with customers for an inspiring and seamless shopping experience
Work closely with project manager to adhere to timelines for all relevant projects and initiatives and identify development opportunities for designers
Provide inspirational examples from the marketplace to drive team innovation and thought leadership, regularly pitching our business partners new ideas to test into related to our business opportunities
Mentor emerging design skills as needed while leading by example through execution of high-visibility marketing campaigns
Owns team organizational design, regularly assessing capacity and skill needs and recommending team optimizations to CD and Sr Creative Ops Manager
Drive toward holistic global brand design execution (with regional nuances where needed), with an eye toward reducing team duplication and increasing efficiencies
Lead concepting and/or design for highest-viz new business opportunities and redesigns (examples: loyalty program, Holiday, retail packaging)
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Experience leading creative design for a major North American Retailer, with ecommerce experience as well as brick & mortar
Experience designing for ecomm channels - app, desktop, and mobile best practices
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
7+ years relevant industry experience managing a design team of 5
Team player and business partner to all cross-functional teams: Paid and Organic social media, site, PR, Synergy, and Marketing.
Art direction and imagery best practices experience
Excellent design skills and elevated aesthetic, demonstrating a refined approach to the balance of imagery, negative space, and typography
Ability to manage a heavy workload, prioritize multiple projects
Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
Comfortable executing while managing
Maintain a professional and positive attitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Thought leader who seeks to drive innovation and creative solutions to business challenges
Empathetic and nurturing design mentor
Passionate about design in the retail space
Preferred:
Familiarity with Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Nat Geo characters and stories
Familiarity with the Disney brand, Park attractions, and history
Knowledge of HTML and animation platforms a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
