
Security & Content Protection Specialist
Job Summary:
Marvel Studios invites qualified candidates to apply for the role of Specialist, Security & Content Protection. Based in Burbank, California, this position is vital for safeguarding Marvel Studios’ personnel, operations, and content across various locations, including New York, Georgia, and the UK. The Specialist will report to the Manager, Security & Content Protection in Burbank and will be a crucial member of the team responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Marvel Studios’ events, screenings, and physical security operations.

The following duties would part of this Specialist position:
Security/Facilities
Ensure Visitor/Entry Security Policies are being followed at Burbank offices
Assist the Studio Lot Drive Ons and other access requests processes
Supports the Crisis Management and Emergency Response program for Marvel Studios
Execute corporate and production badging, access control programing, key management, visitor management, etc.
Assist with alarm monitoring and response at Studio facilities
Key liaison with Disney Facilities, Disney Security, Digital Studio, and Parking Management
Work closely with Marvel Studios Facilities team relating to the destruction of sensitive documents, security escorts for guest/vendors, Lot access reviews, and general office related security functions
Conduct planned audits of all physical security systems including access control logs, cameras, and alarm systems
Conduct on-site reviews of security systems at all local Marvel facilities
Participate in staff and crew training sessions
Assist Coordinator/Receptionist with short term coverage as needed
Content Protection Support
Supports tasks related to vendor security audit program
Provides admin assistance related to content protection programs
Key liaison with Disney Content Security team
Special Events & Screenings
Provide executive protection coverage for film talent and Marvel Studios executives as needed
Assists with security and logistics for pre-release screenings, Premieres, special events, press junkets, Post-Production activities, etc. featuring Marvel Studios content.
Coordinate security logistics for VIPs visiting studio properties
Handles fans, press, paparazzi, etc. during public filming and appearances
Support event, medical, and pre-release screenings
Assist with security and anti-piracy approvals for pre-release screenings
Production Security & Content Protection Responsibilities
Support the Manager of GS&CP with West Coast production security needs when filming is occurring
Assist with security and content protection training to production crew
Provide support to local productions related to security badging, access control, and security signage
Work closely with Technical Operations and Production teams to support secure script reads, deliveries, and distributions
Assist with oversite for ADR/Scoring sessions
Enforce production security and content protection policies on set related to mobile device use, photography, video, visitors, credentials, script handling, etc.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Quick learner who is interested in continued education and training, especially with Executive Protection and anti-piracy measures
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively in high-stress environments
Proficiency in PC and Mac systems and familiarity with the Microsoft suite
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a related field, i.e., studio security, production security, and/or may also include an operational corporate setting
Experience with security platforms such as Lenel and Genetec
Experience with Smartsheet
Experience in executive protection
Experience in anti-piracy protocols
Some travel is possible with this position
Expected to work in the office 5 days a week
Must be flexible and work production hours in some situations
Some weekend and evening work may occur
Must be on-call/available (at least by phone or email) 24/7 for security emergencies
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
