Junior Publicist, Targeting Marketing & Field Publicity (Daily Union)
This role reports to the Vice President of Targeted Marketing & Field Publicity and works at the direction of the Director and Senior Publicist on the team.
The role of Junior Publicist on the Targeted Marketing & Field Publicity is an exciting opportunity within our overall Global Publicity team which you will find listed below. This targeted marketing and field PR team is responsible for the overall field directives for all branded content theatrical and platform releases (Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Disney+, Hulu). They are responsible for developing and executing the field publicity strategy, word-of-mouth screening programs and activations, working with filmmakers & talent on behalf of press tours, screenings & reviews, press coverage, regional stunted events, and more.
This is a Union 600 role.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate extensive WOM regional screening programs and regional press screenings
Assist in press invitations on behalf of press days, junkets, activations, screenings
Site staff for select regional screenings
Regional press list management, maintain internal database of regional press, oversee press attendance memos and charts
Assist and/or craft regional word of mouth ticketing program initiatives
Data entry support, management of BOX folders, assist in management of campaign summary reports
Respond to and navigate field inquiries from WOM partners and agencies across multiple titles
College Program outreach and scheduling
Liaise with Multicultural PR team on behalf of regional activations and screenings
Coordinate anti-piracy security in the field
Oversee asset delivery for extensive regional activations
Support junket and press day planning
Support regional film festival planning
Support regional talent/press tour planning inclusive of crafting talent schedules
Select travel to domestic regional events
Craft field campaign directives for external partner support
Collaborate with internal partners for agency approvals on assets, product, and local non-profits
Work with multiple internal groups to track RSVPs for regional screenings
Distribute Studio press blasts and written materials to field agencies
Coordinate and track press breaks
Vendor invoice processing
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines with budgetary constraints and changing priorities
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in Field Publicity and Field Marketing
Experience executing extensive word-of-mouth screening campaigns
Possess relationships with key regional media
Ability to build and maintain connections with key journalists, social media influencers, and experiential agencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
Experience in entertainment publicity would be an asset
Creative mindset
Passion for pop culture and entertainment
Able to prioritize, multi-task and work well with others in a fast-paced environment
The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure
Flexibility to work evenings/weekends on an as need basis
The scale pay rate for this role Burbank, California is $43.24 per hour. The base pay actually offered follows the minimum wage from the pay scale agreed upon in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
