Associate Merchandise Planner – Category Planning

Job Summary:

Associate Merchandise Planner will assist Merchandise Planning Manager to execute the defined SKU (stock keeping unit) plan, sales, margin and inventory plan of the assigned product category that support the company’s sales and profit objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist managers on executing and monitoring the OTB (open-to-buy), sales and margin plan of the assigned division

  • Performs business analysis detailing category sales and margin performance

  • Inventory management and initiate and execute liquidation plan

  • Collaborate with product developers to ensure that financial objectives align with product opportunities. Partner with PD, utilizing historical data and current trends, to capitalize on new opportunities and identify risks

  • Responsible for ordering and shipments follow up with vendors and partner with logistics team on corresponding logistics flow for the assigned categories. Negotiate product cost and MOQ (min order quantity) with vendor for reorders

  • Provide clerical support to the team

Job requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant disciplines

  • 2 years of experience on product launch plan and inventory management

  • Strong command of retail math concepts, applications and statistical analysis – OTB, inventory management concept

  • Working knowledge of merchandise system, data mining, replenishment system and spreadsheet

  • Knowledge in Power BI will be an advantage

  • Fluent spoken and written in English and Chinese
