As the Senior Manager of Local Content Marketing, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for driving marketing initiatives for all Disney+ Korean original series & current titles. Your role will be pivotal in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies and will be in charge of strategic planning, ad execution, resource allocation, budget & KPI management, and managing all aspects of marketing and publicity campaigns for a given title. This position will report to the Executive Director of Integrated Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dynamic marketing team consisting of three teams and twelve seasoned marketing professionals.  Together, strategize and execute comprehensive marketing plans for all Korean content launches in Korea.
  • Oversee all aspects of campaign initiatives, from conceptualization to execution, including strategic planning, vendor and agency liaison, resource management, and territory-specific reporting.
  • Develop tailored marketing strategies for each title, encompassing positioning, key messaging pillars, phased communication tactics and creatives.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct thorough post-release evaluations to optimize future marketing endeavors.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish annual marketing budgets and KPI targets for individual titles, ensuring effective resource allocation, advertisement/publicity management, content production support and development of strategies and creatives for the other regions.
  • Contribute to annual and 5-year strategic planning exercises to delineate overarching priorities and goals for the local content marketing division.
  • Deliver compelling marketing presentations to production companies, creators, and internal leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across Disney's diverse lines of business.
  • Forge and nurture relationships with key external partners in media, entertainment, and the broader marketing landscape to amplify brand presence and reach.
  • Forge and nurture relationship with industry people including production companies, creators and talents.
  • Work with the film/series festivals and awards to participate in and showcase local content titles in the events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or business management.
  • 10+ years' experience in integrated marketing communications, with a preference for candidates with experience in the film or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, including monitoring business objectives, budget management, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and inspiring teams to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Deep understanding of and enthusiasm for the content and media business.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Disney+ and TWDC Studio content.
  • Fluency in both English and Korean, both written and verbal.
