Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) Corporate Alliances develops and holistically manages highly visible, complex, multi-dimensional relationships with selected brands and companies, which directly results in incremental bottom line operating profit to HKDL. The Corporate Alliances team is dedicated to creating incremental value to HKDL and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner and HKDL Line of Business (LOB) relationships and creation of new value streams aligned with HKDL’s businesses and strategic goals.
Within the Corporate Alliances organization, the Associate Manager, Corporate Alliances provides critical marketing, analytical and strategy support to the Corporate Alliances team as well as managing Alliances and Operating Participant (leasing) agreements, ensuring diversity and industry leading products and services for our guests. This position will support the development of deep, strategic joint marketing relationships between HKDL and alliance partners. The Associate Manager will also be responsible for managing the brand placement within the park and identify strategies in which to increase the clients’ products sold or used within the park, enriching the online to offline experience. This position will also focus on opportunities within the digital space to drive revenue growth.
The Associate Manager will have exposure across numerous Lines of Businesses throughout HKDL and also within various Business Units of the Walt Disney Company as part of a team creating and managing highly visible strategic alliance relationships. The Associate Manager also has revenue targets to deliver to HKDL on an annual basis with growing and renewing the deals a focus.
Job Responsibilities
Serving as a single point of contact for assigned alliance partners/ operating participants and stakeholders on day-to-day management and develop trusted, collaborative and mutual beneficial relationships.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the partners’ business and marketing goals, strategic initiatives, and current issues relevant to their business and industry by both coordinating with partner contacts and conducting secondary research as appropriate.
Project manage the development and execution of action plans and deliver on commitments to drive value for our alliance and operating participants including:
Leading strategic discussions on joint promotion opportunities and managing joint marketing planning process and activities.
Working with HKDL LOBs to manage in-park elements of partner activities, including product distribution, new product assessment, brand integration and event activation.
Understand the relevant HKDL strategies, initiatives, current issues and scope of current and future operations by developing strong relationships with the relevant LOB contact persons. Partner and influence internal stakeholders to achieve the end goal in mind for both the partner and HKDL.
Actively identify and develop new opportunities to add value to accounts throughout the partnership – including new product distribution, activation and joint marketing activities, including promotions, sponsorships, in-park activities, events, media partnerships, etc.
Track health of the partnership through appropriate metrics and building on their success. Develop renewal proposals, analyze contract terms and create presentation documents.
Develop tools, processes and reporting to further standardize and improve the operation and effectiveness of the team, and/or increase the sharing of knowledge and best practices across the Corporate Alliances organization.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree with 6 -8 years in relevant disciplines, Master degree holder is preferred
Complex problem solving, research and logic development skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin which required based on having Western and Asian clients
