Job Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Americas is responsible for leading the execution of the Consumer Products category, brand, and retail strategies across the America’s market. The SVP will lead a team of category, brand, and retail experts responsible for a portfolio of product sub-categories and licensees for the Americas. The SVP of Americas will own the regional P&L and operationalize delivery of globally & regional strategies in the America’s market, inclusive of Canada, the United States and Latin America; provide regional insights, input, and feedback to global strategy teams with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives. Key priorities will include assessing current capabilities and future needs, delivering a data led and insight driven approach to business development, working closely with creative, product development and global teams to optimize the regional “go to market” strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed annual revenue target.
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to team of 6 VP level direct reports and a team of 150+ people across multiple markets while driving a positive team culture.
  • Develop/execute strategic plan driving sustained, long-term growth across brand, retail, and category that ladders up to global strategies.
  • Oversee and lead complex deal negotiations and support teams in finalizing deal terms to optimize and drive new business opportunities through licensing and retail relationships.
  • Partner with studio partners and global brand commercialization team to optimize and execute the global strategy, localized to regional markets.
  • Identify and implement white space opportunities to drive organic growth.
  • Work seamlessly with the retail leaders to optimize channel execution and retailer partnerships.
  • Partner with creative/product development to deliver consumer led and fashion forward products.
  • Partner with marketing team to optimize ROI on all consumer led investments.
  • Provide region-specific market needs, insights, and analytics to be incorporated into global strategies
  • Build strong external relationships including key retail executives, buyers, licensing executives and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience in consumer products role preferred, with a required understanding of retail and distribution channels. 
  • Extensive experience in leading, developing and executing retail business plans
  • Proven ability to lead and drive a vision with commercial results
  • Excellent management skills and an ability to inspire a creative, positive, supportive, and encouraging work environment
  • Strong leader with exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills and strong ability to influence with and without authority
  • Experience working cross-functionally & leading multiple projects within a matrixed organization
  • Breakthrough thinker who can perform in a competitive, fast-paced, retail environment
  • Must be results oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working through a matrix structure to deliver business objectives
  • Able to drive internal focus through visual sales tools and a compelling strategy 
  • Open communicator and team player who shows curiosity for solution seeking 
  • Financial acumen. Understanding of retail marketplace, revenues, market research, data analysis and data storytelling
  • Travel based on location
  • Required Education: BS in business related field; MBA preferred


The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $368,600.00 to $450,400.00 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
