This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Managers and Director of Enterprise Compliance and Controls with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 compliance program, including performing testing of key controls across multiple segments and Corporate functions. Work in a team-oriented, project driven environment with business unit leaders to improve the internal control environment.

Responsibilities:

SOX 404 testing of entity and business-unit level controls across multiple segments and Corporate functions
Perform testing through walkthroughs/inquiry, observation and re-performance and documenting results in working papers
Partnering with business units on SOX 404 related efforts, such as documentation (e.g. walkthroughs, narratives and flowcharts) of in-scope processes, identification of key controls, and control/process improvements
Ability to identify and assess control deficiencies and develop appropriate remediation plans
Assisting with maintenance of the SOX 404 software including updating control descriptions and ownership, running quarterly and annual reports, and monitoring business units’ quarterly certification
Supporting the team on special projects
Supervise the Financial Analysts as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 2 years work experience in auditing and/or accounting
A strong understanding of internal controls and control environments
Ability to assess and prioritize financial statement risk and internal controls across multiple segments and business units
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
Possess strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
Ability to work in a highly organized and efficient manner, and a driver that can take projects to completion in a timely manner
Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to travel for business as needed

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounting or auditing with a large multi-national company or Big 4 accounting firm
CPA or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
