Job Summary:

This is a fixed-term contract expected to last until April 2026.

This position requires you to be based on site for 4 days per week at our Hammersmith offices in London.

Disney's Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) business unit, part of TWDC's Disney Entertainment segment, leads all aspects of all facets of Disney's Film and TV Streaming, including Hulu and Disney+. Within this unit, we focus on the Disney+ platform, delivering exceptional entertainment experiences to audiences worldwide.

As a Senior Program Manager at Disney+, you will be an integral part of the Global Business Program Management team! Your primary responsibility will be overseeing high profile strategic projects spanning various divisions, focusing on developing robust and scalable launch plans, ensuring sustainable operations, and effectively mitigating risks. Collaboration with key teams across Disney Entertainment, including Technology, Content, Marketing, and international business units, will be essential for success in this role. Your strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the skill to prioritise will drive business success as you establish performance metrics, communicate plans with senior stakeholders, and drive execution.

What You Will Do

  • Launch Operations: Lead launch operations program management for new product features and global expansion efforts, coordinating launch activities across multiple teams.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedules, budget estimates, resource allocation, and success criteria.
  • Communication: Support project communication strategies and mechanisms to provide timely updates on project status and issues to business leads and senior management.
  • Business Optimisation: Find opportunities to improve processes in order to drive more efficient launch operations and lead the successful execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, driving resolutions or critical issues as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish effective communication channels to manage partner expectations, align priorities at the senior executive level, and foster strong working relationships across teams.
  • Independence: Carry out all key responsibilities autonomously, demonstrating self-reliance and initiative.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: extensive professional experience in program and project management, consulting and business operations within a large corporate environment
  • Program Management: Proficiency in program management processes and methodologies for governance and tracking.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in senior management-facing roles, showcasing strong consensus-building capabilities.
  • Partnering: Previous experience collaborating with technology and marketing teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively manage multiple partners in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong intuition for business, with the ability to react quickly and proactively plan to meet project needs.
  • Adaptability: Proven track record of thriving in ambiguous situations and the ability to exhibit tenacity in problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global Expertise: International experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the direct-to-consumer streaming product sector.
  • Professional Commitment: Dedication to ongoing professional development, including continuing education, certifications, and staying abreast of industry trends. Possess one or more recognized project management certifications (e.g., IAMP, PMP, MPM, CSM).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software tools - for example MS Office, Google Slides, SharePoint, Keynote, Slack, Teams, Miro, Lucidchart, Confluence, Jira, Airtable, and Smartsheets.
  • Technical Literacy: Basic understanding of technical concepts and ability to use qualitative and quantitative data in decision-making processes. Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools such as Airtable and internal systems.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in driving business improvement through process re-engineering initiatives.
