Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is undergoing a period of rapid growth, launching several new ships in the US and Asia over the next several years. The DCL Marketing Strategy team is a vibrant, fast-moving group that drives both short- and long-term business goals that include growing consumer demand and bookings, strengthening our brand and differentiation, and driving commercial value. This team leads Marketing and Sales go-to-market strategies, partnering closely with other Marketing and Sales functions as well as partners in other areas like Public Relations, Consumer Insights, Operations, Finance, Revenue Management, Entertainment, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
The Marketing Strategy Associate, DCL Strategic Growth Initiatives position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy - Disney Cruise Line.
What You Will Do
The Marketing Strategy Associate, DCL Strategic Growth Initiatives will support Disney Cruise Line’s Strategic Growth Initiatives team – a dynamic team responsible for planning and implementing go-to-market strategies to support all new ship and commercial product launches in the US and Asia. This role will assist in shaping marketing programs and communication plans in collaboration with the Center of Excellence throughout each critical stage. The Marketing Strategy Associate will help drive business goals through consumer insights and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring a seamless and successful launch.
This includes collaborating with internal teams and international partners to align on strategies, timelines, and deliverables, while also tailoring initiatives to meet both International and domestic needs. As an Associate, you will work across multiple functions, supporting the execution of all marketing activities that drive the successful launch and commercial performance of new ships.
Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to adapt to changing business needs while aligning partners on strategic decisions. The Associate will collaborate closely with the Center of Excellence, providing day-to-day support and guidance during each phase of the go-to-market plan. This includes coordinating marketing efforts and ensuring messaging is consistent across teams throughout each milestone. By working closely with the COE, you will help drive the smooth execution of launch plans and ensure all operational needs are met.
The scope of responsibilities includes:
Support go-to-market planning and execution by collaborating closely with the Center of Excellence (Digital, PR, CE, YS and WDI) to ensure seamless integration across teams.
Support key launch achievements, including but not limited to: website updates, CRM communications, social strategies, recaps, marketing tactics, onboard asset shoots etc.
Review and refine communications tactics with a critical eye, offering recommendations to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
Serve as the central hub for the launch of new messaging across digital communication channels, ensuring consistency and impact.
Leverage consumer insights and data analysis to identify key marketing and business opportunities.
Build positive relationships with DCL Revenue Management, Operations, Hotel and Entertainment teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of consumer marketing or related experience
Experience framing up a verbal or written POV to influence leaders, partners and peers
Experience crafting strategic input and creating presentations and pitches that foster creative communication planning that guide partners toward key objectives
Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload, balancing multiple tasks and priorities with superior attention to detail
Experience developing productive partnerships and working with diverse teams in an inclusive environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word) and Smartsheet
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including early morning and late evening meetings on a regular basis, due to collaboration with international teams
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience in Marketing Strategy, Consumer Package Goods Brand Management, Advertising Account Management, Business/Program Management
Experience working with International teams, navigating cross-cultural dynamics and managing global marketing initiatives
Knowledge of Disney Cruise Line products and offerings, or prior cruise industry experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Equivalent
