Associate Graphic Designer (Disney Institute)

Part of Disney Signature Experiences, Disney Institute is highly visible within The Walt Disney Company as well as externally, and we are on a path to growing the business. We are seeking our next Associate Graphic Designer role that will support Disney Institute. This position works closely with content development specialists and partners with the Content and Delivery team to provide graphic design services for the development of Keynote presentations and Participant Guides. This is an entry level Graphic Design role. You will assist with the design efforts for each project by participating in meetings, assisting design reviews, and giving updates on the design during project work sessions.
This role is considered Full on site, in office (Celebration, FL) 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday and remote/WFH on Friday. This may change based on business needs.
You Will/Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of materials creation such as presentations and guides as well as attending meetings, design reviews and work sessions.
In this role you will also design against existing specifications, storyboards, scenarios and/or design prototypes; existing layouts of print/digital publications using Adobe InDesign or similar application; and coordinate with the operations team for printing needs and specifications.
Graphics and photo editing includes airbrushing, masking, or image retouching and creation of text and art elements.
Work to prepare sample layouts for approval and feedback while leveraging style guides for client work.
Work with partners and stakeholders for instructions and feedback throughout process, making modifications as necessary.
Select appropriate size and style of type, column width and spacing for the medium in which content is to be presented (large-format screens, mobile digital devices, etc.).
Store and file all work and art files for handoffs or historical archiving.
Other duties as needed.
You Will Have/Required Qualifications:
1+ years of related professional experience
Advanced knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign and Illustrator) and Apple Keynote
Excellent project/time management skills, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Deep understanding of adult learning and organization improvement principles
Ability to understand business strategy and translate it into learning solutions
Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Ability to build relationships with team members and partners resulting in effective collaborations
Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to interact credibly and represent the Disney brand with external business clients at all levels
Ability to deal with ambiguity and fast-paced change driven by growth and client expectations
Critical Thinking and service oriented and team minded collaborator
Preferred Qualifications:
Motion graphics experience
New illustration/art experience
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Graphic Design experience, related Degree or certification
