An opportunity exists to support this dynamic organization as a Financial Systems Manager -assisting support the modernization and implementation of SAP’s S/4HANA general ledger software and other related systems critical to the managing the company’s financial results and used by the Finance teams. What You Will Do

Support implementation of SAP’s S/4HANA general ledger software and other related systems critical to the running the company’s financial results and used by the Finance teams. Possess a strong operational understanding of accounting processes to ensure that newly implemented systems support accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. Act as a liaise with various controllership and technology teams providing specialist knowledge of the finance systems and processes, and accounting policies. Possesses expert functional / technical knowledge of SAP and operates with a customer- centric focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely and in collaboration with the Disney Finance organization and Enterprise Technology and business partners to facilitate the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, a new consolidation application, and will help lead master data governance and reporting close cycles
  • Work closely to develop and implement strategies to address finance needs, collect data and analyze implications, and define and document agreed upon finance functional requirements, end-user system procedures, and business process flows
  • Connect the functional processes and priorities to the greater organizational goals
  • Use your functional expertise and deep knowledge of SAP to develop solutions to system issues
  • Develop testing strategies, coordinate and participate in finance related testing efforts for system implementations, improvements and modifications
  • Communicate with partners, management, and subject matter experts
  • Exercise critical thinking, problem solving and analytical capabilities with attention to detail

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ work experience with financial or accounting teams working for a large company
  • Possess a deep knowledge of SAP accounting solutions and at least three years of operational experience supporting an SAP GL platform
  • Experience working in a complex, multi segment organization
  • Proven capabilities related to your deep knowledge of the SAP accounting solutions and demonstrated ability working in SAP’s general ledger
  • Ability to navigate complex issues; identify and implement innovative solutions
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, and ability to use data-driven insights to inform your decisions
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks to financial processes
  • You deliver excellence; you work closely with hard-working teams
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to deliver results and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience using SAP or S/4 HANA system
  • Experience implementing financial processes and systems along with developing the associated end user training

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $123,000.00 to $150,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
