How you will contribute to our magical experience?:

The Supervisor is responsible for supporting the overall Latam organization, providing controllership and business support, performing P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, ensuring financial statements are accurate, preparing reports and recommendations to Local and Corporate Management, for TV business cross LTAM and some US entities, in a multicurrency environment. A successful candidate is a self-starter who is willing to embrace a challenge and continually seeks opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and process improvement.

We have 2 open roles:

The 1st position:

This role will work with Latam and will report to an accounting manager.

  • Coordinate and perform closing ensuring figures are accurate and in compliance with Accounting Policies (US GAAP, IFRS, other Local GAAPs).
  • Perform key analysis for accounting treatment for any new business or non-recurring activity or new process.
  • Perform Balance Sheet & P&L review and variance analyses by business to corporate management, as well as by legal entity to minimize fiscal risks.
  • Ensure all statutory controllership and local requirements are fulfilled timely along Colombia & Perú and statutory audits are performed.
  • Revenue recognition analysis for streaming business (Disney+/ Star+)
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax and other teams to support the needs of the business.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement to obtain efficiencies.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
  • Review accounts balances and work in improvement opportunities, perform issues follow-up, and promote team working and synergy among the accounting team.

The 2nd position:

This role will work with US and will report to a Senior Manager.

The TV Consolidation and Fixed Assets Assoc manager Accounting & Controllership will be responsible for:

  • To provide accounting service such as closing process, on time, ensuring that Financial Statement are correct.
  • Reviewing Financial reports. Perform controls and reasonability/flux analysis of both BS and P&L accounts for consolidation of TV Business and some US entities.
  • Participate in deliverables preparation, interacting with other teams abroad.
  • Ensure that figures, as Fixed Assets balances are reasonable, reviewing reconciliations and coordinating inventory activities for the region.
  • Review of management reports and perform issues follow up, interacting with different areas while presenting to the management area.
  • Oversee the audit process for specific US entities, ensuring timely and thorough execution.
  • Collaborate in improvement process related to accounting and business changes.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • At least 5 years working in Accounting or Accounting Audit.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar.
  • At least 2 years in Leadership and delegation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, being able to think big picture.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced English.
  • Advanced Office.
  • Sap is a plus.
  • Industry experience in media and/or entertainment is a plus.
