What You Will Do:
The Revenue Planning and Forecasting team demonstrates deep understanding of the operating environment, guest trends, pricing strategies and marketing plans to support the strategic direction and key projects of the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts. This role supports daily/weekly/monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for Walt Disney World Theme Park attendance volumes and revenues. The position helps the organization understand current business trends and support future growth initiatives. Responsibilities include delivering guest-driven analytics, data mining/visualization, and partnering with key business teams. A qualified candidate will have a natural curiosity but sensitivity to proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate business performance using data-driven insights.
Analytics and Measurement
Participate in creating Walt Disney World Theme Park attendance volume expectations, and revenue short term weekly and long-term monthly forecasts
Develop a detailed understanding of guest behavior to deliver insights
Maintain and improve predictive forecasting models
Apply data visualization techniques to identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and key metrics; clearly representing the story and key takeaways
Insights and Strategic Decision Making
Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analysis and recommendations
Partner with customers across various functional teams such as Operations, Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Pricing, to understand potential impacts generated by those teams
Communicate effectively to the team and others, relevant observed business trends to guide decision making
Understand and evaluate new initiatives to provide strategic direction for the business
Required Qualifications & Skills:
1+ years of financial analysis, forecasting, or quantitative analysis experience
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Demonstrate strong written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy to understand way
Ability to provide actionable, fact-based insights and recommendations to inform decision making for our senior leaders.
Demonstrate technical ability to leverage data, using predictive modeling methods, and translate results to insights that can be shared with leadership
Experience in working with data visualization tools
Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
Ability to share and cover team workload on some weekends, holidays and evenings as dictated by business needs
Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality, accurate and reasonable results, with the ability to understand business impacts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Disney Experiences forecasting and planning processes
Expert in Excel with solid understanding of VBA
Demonstrate experience working with SAS, Snowflake, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field
