About the Role & Team

The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Global Security, Asset Protection & Risk Team is responsible for programs related to safeguarding people, assets, and brands within Disney’s Retail businesses (i.e., Stores, eCommerce, Wholesale, Licensing, Games, Publishing, etc.). The Asset Protection team supports incident mitigation, workplace security, profit protection, crisis management and investigations in the Retail environment.

We are a dynamic fast-paced team, and we are hiring for a Senior Asset Protection Analyst to join our team in Glendale, CA!

In this role, your responsibilities will include AP operating systems administration including POS exception reporting, investigations, case management (enterprise database, prosecution, restitution, etc.), Key Performance Indicators, and related analysis for Retail Commercialization business units across TWDC. This role will report into the Asset Protection Manager – Global Reporting, Analytics and Systems.

What You Will Do

  • Develop proactive, analytical approach to Asset Protection issues by monitoring shrink data, KPI’s, risk/incident reports and supporting mitigation.
  • Generate reports and insights to support decision-making processes and improve overall asset protection.
  • Drive department internal/external investigation efforts through exception reporting systems to include investigation initiation, resolution and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain integrity of the AP Database and Case Management systems.
  • Continually review AP programs to quantify and analyze AP results (i.e. Mitigated Fraud, Exception Reporting, Case Statistics, Shrink Analysis, etc.).
  • Aid with administering monthly global KPI, AP Activity and DCP snapshot reporting.
  • Identify POS theft trends; recommend/support implementation of strategies to detect and mitigate losses.
  • Conduct audits of high-risk transactions for fraud and operational exceptions
  • Minimum Control Standards POS Exception Reporting – investigation of specifically identified reports related to high-risk transactions and case development.
  • Investigative trend analysis – analyze and identify trending including external theft (suspicious refund/ORC program), reseller, abusive guest and policy related incidents and escalate to Field and Home Base Teams
  • Omni Channel Exception Reporting - develop additional exception reports related to E-commerce to Brick & Mortar refund abuse, resellers, etc.
  • Maintain department restitution program and provide results through monthly reporting.
  • Assist with analysis and implementation of POS updates, system enhancements and new project rollouts.
  • Implement predictive analysis reporting related to high Shrink locations and trends.
  • Implement special projects in a highly effective manner with results that drive the DCP mission.
  • Assist with related training on AP Tools and Systems.
  • Cultivate a sense of collaboration throughout the DCP organization.
  • Maintain the highest level of Guest Service both internally and externally.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of Asset Protection or Analytics related experience required with multi-unit specialty retailer.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong people and multi-project management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Education

  • Equivalent experience or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $84,500.00 - $113,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
