Responsibilities:

Perform a wide variety of advanced skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical and/or electrical equipment with specific focus in assigned trade; Operate a variety of equipment and machinery including saws, drill presses and various hand and power tools to perform repair and maintenance work. Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to effectively perform maintenance activities.

• Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the Reverse Osmosis, portable water making and water storage facilities plant operations.
• Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the On-stage water features to include water slide, wet decks and other.
• Promote a safe work environment; Complies with the safety competencies, and all company policies and procedures.
• This is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms as well as working in confined spaces.
• May provide lateral service to other departments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the Bahamas.
• 3 to 4 years’ experience as: Wastewater treatment and potable water Plant Operator; Must have previous experience troubleshooting water production facilities, water storage and wastewater treatment systems. Also, must have experience with maintenance for pumps, chemical injection systems, wet deck water calibration, and all other associated equipment. Diploma or certificate supporting training as a RO and Wastewater Plant Operator and maintaining and repairing associated equipment.
• Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and materials common to waste water treatment facilities.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of wastewater and potable water treatment facilities
• Working skills in troubleshooting and maintaining facility production systems.
• Ability to estimate time and materials needs.

This role is based on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.
